WinZip Overview 6.3

The first thing you need to do is go here:

WinZip Download

and dowload a trial version of WinZip. It is a self extracting file so once you have it downloaded install it as you would any other program.

Once it is set up and you are ready to unzip a file, the first screen you will see when you double click on the WinZip icon will be this one:

Click on the next button.

On this screen you need to find the file you want to unzip. If you do not see it in that list then you need to click on the search button to search your hardrive for the file you want to unzip. If the file you want is listed there just click on the next button. You will prompted for where you want to unzip the program to. You can use the default or you can click on search and look for the directory you want the file unzipped to.

You need to highlight the file you want to unzip and then click on "next".

I usually just ignore this because I don't want to add it so I click on "No".

You can choose to have the file unzipped to the default directory or you can search your hard drive again for the directory you want it unzipped to.

Find the directory you want the file unzipped to and then click ok. The file will be unzipped and you can go to the directory where the file was unzipped to, to look at it. You are now ready to use the files that you unzipped.
